Remembering Srebrenica
Raising Awareness About Peace and Human Rights. NP2E, in collaboration with four partner organizations from Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, and Serbia, has successfully implemented a project aimed at informing and raising awareness among new generations about the importance of peace and human rights. This profound initiative draws on the memory of Srebrenica and honors all victims of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, mass murders, and mass rapes in Europe and worldwide. Through this project, we strive to instill a deeper understanding of these atrocities and the imperative of fostering a more just and peaceful world.
Mothers of Srebrenica
Mars Mira, also known as the Peace March or “March of Peace,” is an annual event held in Bosnia and Herzegovina to commemorate the victims of the Srebrenica massacre that occurred in July 1995 during the Bosnian War. Participants, including survivors, families of victims, and supporters from around the world, walk a 100-kilometer route over three days, retracing the path taken by Bosniaks who fled the massacre. The march symbolizes remembrance, solidarity, and the commitment to peace and human rights, ensuring that the atrocities are never forgotten and promoting a message of “never again.”
